Drama Camp

Attention all aspiring thespians! Looking for something to do this summer? Come to Drama Camp! Skills explored will include voice and diction, movement and improvisation, plus scenery and props, lighting, costuming, makeup and sound. Directed by Susan Pennington. This camp is limited to 50 participants.

Date: July 13th - 24th
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Ages: k - 5th grade
Fee: $65/R (includes t-shirt)

Improvisation camp

If you’ve ever seen the show, “Whose Line Is It Anyway?”, you’ve seen improvisation (improv) at work. This quick-fire theater element requires just a few components: creativity, team work, and the ability to “think on your feet”. Come learn the skills of improv with fun, new games, and exercises, that you can use later with your friends! Directed by Susan Pennington. This camp is limited to 16 participants.

Musical Theater Moves Instructed By Angie Hetz

Beginning

Do you like to perform, but dancing scares you? Well this class is just for you. You will learn basic moves used in many shows. So you will be prepared at your next dance audition, or in your next show.

Dates: May 2nd or August 8th
Time: 9:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.
Ages: 7 - 14
Fee: $35/R per class
Fee: $40/NR per class

Intermediate

This is a continuation of the beginning musical theater moves class. In this class we will add more dance moves and techniques to your repertoire.

Dates: May 9th or August 8th
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 7 - 14
Fee: $35/R per class
Fee: $40/NR per class

Advance:

This is a class for seasoned performers, that own tap, ballet and jazz shoes. We will take songs from classic to contemporary shows and learn techniques to perform these songs.

Dates: May16th
Time: 1:00 p.m. - 4:00 p.m.
Ages: 9 - 16
Fee: $35/R per class
Fee: $40/NR per class

Auditions for the fall production of “High School Musical 2” will be held Friday, August 7th though Sunday, August 9th. Starting July 20th you may schedule an audition by calling the Parks and Recreation Department at 647-1003. Production dates will be October 15th - 18th. Rehearsal fees are $55/R and $65/NR (includes t-shirt).
